About the System
The Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System has been
designed to streamline the licensing process, improve supervision and
increase transparency in the mortgage industry. NMLS contains a single
record for each mortgage lender, broker, branch and loan originator.
This single record can be used to apply for, amend and renew licenses in
any participating jurisdiction. For more, see the Overview

News and Alerts
Three new agencies receiving applications through
NMLS
NMLS is now receiving new application and transition filings for
Arizona, Delaware and Georgia. Licensees and new applicants are now able
to submit these records through NMLS. Additional information on each
state's requirements is available under Participating
States. NOTE: Delaware is currently accepting applications for
individual Loan Originators only.
NMLS renewal period for 2009 has ended
Licensees who failed to submit a renewal request prior to the
deadline may have an opportunity to request late renewal or
reinstatement of their license in certain jurisdictions. To see
which jurisdictions allow for late renewal/reinstatement and for more
information, go to the State

Overview
Transition deadline has expired for AR, IN-DFI, IN-SOS, and
PA
Licensees holding a company, branch or individual license with the
following agencies had until December 31 to transition their license(s)
onto NMLS. For more details consult the agency’s Transition Plan
or contact the state agency:

NMLS user agreement update
The NMLS Applicant/Licensee Agreement has been amended to grant SRR LLC,
operators of NMLS, the authority to use licensee contact information to
send licensees news and updates related to the System (More
